Labiaplasty is a plastic surgery procedure for primarily altering the labia minora or inner lips of the vagina.
Many women with enlarged labia may have no symptoms, pain or discomfort and can live normal lives. For others, enlarged labia can be uncomfortable, often with pain and can lead to frequent vaginal infections. Many women may experience pain with intercourse, as well as discomfort when wearing tight clothing or exercising. Surgical correction is indicated in those women with the above mentioned symptoms or when the labia minora are disproportionately larger than the outer lips of the vagina.
