Professor M. Asım Aydın was born in Isparta (A town neighboring north of Antalya)  in 1965. He completed his primary and secondary education in Isparta. He graduated from Kuleli Military High School in 1983 and from GATA Medical Faculty in 1989. He received his specialization training at Hacettepe University, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery from 1991 to 1997. Between 1998 and 2000, he worked as a specialist at Ankara Dışkapı SSK Training and Research Hospital, and also served in his private office. In 2000, he founded the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Süleyman Demirel University (A public university founded in 1994 in Isparta). Between 2000 and 2003, he worked at the Medical College of Wisconsin Froedtert Children's Hospital and the University of Michigan Health Center on craniofacial surgery and functional muscle transfer for facial palsy. Apart from 2011 when he was the clinical chief at Antalya Training and Research Hospital, he worked as a faculty member at SDU Faculty of Medicine for 21 years and served as the Head of the Department. He has a great share in making Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine Plastic Surgery Clinic  a reference center serving the entire Western Mediterranean region, including Antalya.

Professor M. Asım Aydın has been serving in his own office since December 2022. Dr. Aydın, who spent his entire professional life as a lecturer and mentor for Plastic Surgery residency training, has extensive experience in all areas of Plastic Surgery.
